What can you tell us about Quinn on this season of Dexter? —Jason
NATALIE: After spending last season in a nosedive after his breakup with Deb, Quinn will finally get his act together this season. Still, he may find himself in hot water since he has a past with new character George (Jason Gedrick). "When the Miami Metro has to investigate the killing of [SPOILER ALERT] a fellow police officer, it leads them to one of Isaac's clubs that George manages," executive producer Sara Colleton says. "Quinn knows George from his days in narcotics because, along with it being a driving nightclub stripper business, it's also a place where the Ukrainian mob laundered a lot of money and passed its drugs and guns and all sort of things. So everyone's plot is thickening."

Meh, they should've found a way to keep Billy Brown and got rid of Quinn and Desmond Harrington. Anderson just showed up and it would've been a greater impact to the story if Quinn got killed since he's been there, there are people who like him and almost right after Deb dumping him, and his fuck ups. Plus, Quinn sucks and is useless.

    1. I like Quinn and the reason Billy is killed off is because he got a role in Sons of Anarchy i think.

    2. I know. This is why I said, they should've "found a way." Key words there. Actors do 2 different shows esp when they're not filmed all yr around.

Meh, Quinn. Only smart thing he ever did was piece together Kyle Butler and Dexter and no one believed him.

  2. I don't hate Quinn (and especially not Desmond) but he was mostly wasted in the previous season. His downward spiral was kinda funny but it felt like a build up for something bigger. Now it seems that the russian club story arc will be introduced through his character which gives him a purpose for the next season. Not to mention that he still has interesting ties to both Dexter and Debra (unlike Anderson)and he might team up with Laguerta.

    1. Desmond's a good actor, yeah. Just the character just never did anything for me. He first stepped in, there was a cop investigating him (which was dropped and we never saw him "handle" it, he flirted w/Deb, tried get away from his CI, make her mistrust him as a cop, S4 he spent all season fucking the reporter and not even believing his partner about Trinity. Only thing he's really done was have instincts about Dex/Butler and dropped it for Deb. Hasn't been that good of a cop otherwise.

It's possible it was it a set to a bigger story for him but like I said, his death would shake Miami Metro a lot more and impact it in a better way story wise. Unless, they plan on killing someone else who would later on.

Now, that's an interesting point. She may need him to lean on and talk about Dexter w/someone. Which would be intriguing as hell. Between this, being a better cop, killing someone else later on - I can understand it more and be more on board.

    2. If Laguerta ever gets suspicious she will definitely talk to Quinn about Dexter.

    3. Hard to believe Deb will talk to Quinn about Dex. After what he did in Season 5, she knows Quinn doesn't like Dex. She'll be wary of confiding in a person with an agenda right now.

Laguerta may not talk to Quinn either, at least in Season 7. It's going to take her a while to arrive at Dex as the BHB. That was one case where Dex was completely safe from any connection to it. Lila made sure of that. Unless, like in the church, Laguerta finds some charred bit of evidence from the cabin.

    4. Quinn told her that he believed Dexter was hiding something, and then he suddenly became a murder suspect.

Reminds you of something? Exactly, Doakes.

And that's why she might talk to Quinn.

    5. Both Laguerta and Debra knows that he had suspicions about Dexter. It would be strange if none of them turned to him about this. Sooner or later it has to happen. (Unless he dies but I hope he doesn't) And if they do ask him about his concerns he might look into it once again.

  3. "Dexter completely safe from any connection to the BHB ?" The trophies taken from the victims are blood slides. Who else than lab geeks, and especially blood splatter guys would use such trophies ?

  4. We know Luddy gave Quinn an envelope with pictures of Dex and Lumen throwing filled black garbage bags off the Slice of Life at night. We don't know what he did with them.

  5. Imagine what he will do when he finds out that Deb is "in love" with Dexter. Now that he has gotten his act together he is just as big of a threat to Dexter as he was in season 5.
