Check it out!!! The pieces were always there. She was just too close to see them. Can they keep everything from falling apart?

At least it's something. I feel like there's been no news at all since comic con. And that gap feels a lot longer than it actually is. Give us something!
ReplyDeleteexactly!
DeleteIt is frustrating I thought they usually had a trailer released at Comi-Con.
DeleteI like it because I've always remembered those parts and thought "HOW THE HELL DID SHE NOT SEE THAT?". Now I don't think the writers planned that out, even from Season 1. But I love fact that they went back and cleaned all of that up.
ReplyDeleteIt finally looks like there'll be some continuity in this season. All the mistakes he did in the past, everytime he was sloppy, it should come back to bite him in the ass. I'd also like them to make the connection that he was close to the ITK, Miguel, Trinity and Jordan Chase and Lumen and also that call he made on the yacht in S06E10, it'd be cool if somehow they would get back to that and recognize his voice. So far the new Season sounds interesting, it already had a LOT of potential due to the reveal anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat's something I never understood. Someone calls the police about a MWD and they don't even attempt to find out who that caller is? Not a single homicide detective listens to the actual call? (remember how they all listended to Dexter's 911 call in 5x01)
DeleteWhen he called Ramon Prado in season 3 he used a payphone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOH9OAS8x1E), on Breaking Bad they use prepaid phones and destroy them after use.
But Dex made this call from his own cell phone.
If I remember correctly, Dexter made that call about Wormwood from a flip phone, probably prepaid. His regular phone is a touchscreen like everyone else seems to have these days.
DeleteVery impressed with these promo's.. It truly looks like a lot is coming together and i would love to see Deb start connecting loose ends and start by knowing that it was Dexter at the Jordan Chase scene...
ReplyDeleteUgh, when is the season 7 trailer coming out???
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this season is gonna be so f. awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am really behind this whole idea of someone sharing Dexter's secret - and not Miguel or Brian or Doakes or Lumen, but someone who has been there the entire time with him, that will react to Dexter like the AUDIENCE reacts to Dexter - you know, being both horrified and saddened by what he is, frustrated with his bonehead moves, and at the same time - caring about him/loving with him.
ReplyDeleteDeb becomes a sort of touchstone for us as we move to the end.
At least that's the way they should be writing it. =P
If they do something retarded like freeze her out and bring some outsider that has no history with Dexter (like Hannah) - into the know, I am going to throw my flywheel, and possibly my crankshaft as well.
Z
I am going to throw my tv if they do that.....heck I planned on throwing it anyways since its ancient and I am looking into getting a flatscreen anyways.

Delete=> me if they drop Deb for Hannah
Finally.
ReplyDeleteThat was my reaction to the "hello Arthur Mitchell" scene when Dex finally knocked him out. Given what happened next (or actually had already happened), "finally" is a word that should be avoided when talking about Dexter.
DeleteIt's weird how the light doesn't match from the ending of season 6, with the beginning of season 7. It's really not that big of a deal to me, because I can see exactly why they did that: The lighting had to change achieve the darkness they were looking for, to set the mood. The light in the Travis killing was just too bright.
ReplyDeleteNot only that Nicholas, but to hide the features of the body... since Colin Hanks isn't hear for 7....
DeleteZ
Yeah, I figured Hanks would have a "cheaper" stand-in. It wouldn't have made sense to have him come back for that, as it would have just been a waste of money.
DeleteI am hopeful that the writers will not ignore the fact that Deb was in the same position as Travis on Brian's table. Deb is a smart detective surely she will put two and two together! I just really want her to know the whole truth about Dexter. It should not take an entire season for her to figure that out.
ReplyDeleteIts a no brainer! Dex explains the fact he's protecting his son, uses the boat senario to prove the involvement, the painting of himself, his son's disappearance, and says its because he saved everyone at the station. The killing of Travis is one off vengagnce to protect his son, her nephew.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're wrong, but sounds logical (and typical Dexter).
