Now that the Oscars are finally over, the Saturn Awards have come along and graced with nominations that are actually fun/infuriating-in-their-own-way. In the television categories, our Favorite serial killer 'Dexter' received 4 nominations. AMC's Breaking Bad received six nominations while FX's American Horror Story scared up five. Today, Edward James Olmos turns 65. Born in Los Angeles, on February 24, 1947. Among his most memorable roles are William Adama in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, Lt. Martin Castillo in Miami Vice, teacher Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver, patriarch Abraham Quintanilla in the film Selena, Detective Gaff in Blade Runner, and narrator El Pachuco in both the stage and film versions of Zoot Suit. Recently he played the role of Professor James Gellar in the hit series, 'Dexter'. Happy Bday!

Writers Guild Awards 2012 - Dexter Didn't Win Any Award
Last night, Community's Joel McHale and New Girl's Zooey Deschanel hosted the Writers Guild Awards ceremony, which wasn't televised. Homeland, Modern Family and Breaking Bad won big at Sunday's Writers Guild Awards, as each series took home two awards. Unfortunately Dexter didn't win any award. 'The Trouble With Bliss' Starring Michael C. Hall - Poster
Via collider.com: The official poster for Michael Knowles‘ upcoming film The Trouble with Bliss. The movie stars Michael C. Hall as Morris Bliss, a guy who begins breaking out his inert lifestyle by juggling relationships with the sexually precocious 18-year-old daughter (Brie Larson) of a former classmate and his very forward neighbor (Lucy Liu). It’s an interesting poster in that you look at Hall and realize that his character probably isn’t going to kill anyone. The film also stars Chris Messina, Brad William Henke, Sarah Shahi, and Peter Fonda. The Trouble with Bliss hits VOD and theaters in New York City on March 23rd. The film opens in Los Angeles on March 30th.

'Dexter' Villain Tapped to Play Sherlock Holmes in CBS Pilot
Via THR.com: Jonny Lee Miller, who starred on "Eli Stone," has landed the lead in the network's drama "Elementary." Former Dexter killer Jonny Lee Miller has landed the lead role in the network's drama pilot Elementary, described as a New York-set modern take on the cases of the famed detective, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The casting marks a return to series TV for Miller, who guest starred in eight episodes as a motivational speaker with a dark secret on Showtime's Dexter. The feature actor (Trainspotting) previously starred on ABC's primetime soap Eli Stone. He has a pair of features in production: Dark Shadows and Byzantium.
Robert Doherty will write and executive produce the CBS TV Studios project, with CBS vet Sarah Timberman (A Gifted Man, Unforgettable) and Carl Beverly on board as executive producers. Elementary is one of eight drama pilots in contention at CBS.

Michael C. Hall Joins 'Killing Your Darlings' Cast
Via deadline.com: Daniel Radcliffe, Ben Foster, Elizabeth Olsen, Dane Dehaan and Jack Huston also star in addition to Michael C. Hall, Kyra Sedgwick, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The thriller Kill Your Darlings is from Killer Films and Benaroya Pictures. Principal photography is to begin March 19 at New York City’s Columbia University. The film is the feature directorial debut of Austin Bunn who co-wrote the script with John Krokidas. The story of friendship and murder sees Radcliffe continuing to distance himself from his Harry Potter persona, here playing Allen Ginsberg. Huston is Jack Kerouac and Foster is William Burroughs.
Hall will play Burrough’s longtime friend who fell victim to a murder that helped spark the Beat Revolution in 1944. Killer Films’ Christine Vachon is producing with Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures and Rose Ganguzza of Rose Pictures. Killer’s Pamela Koffer is executive producer. Inferno Entertainment is selling international rights here in Berlin. UTA Independent Film Group and Cassian Elwes are repping US rights. Hall is represented by WME and Authentic’s Jon Rubenstein, Sedgwick is represented by UTA, Leigh is represented by Untitled Entertainment and UTA, Foster is represented by WME and manager Ken Jacobson.

Aimee Garcia Joins NBC's Pilot 'County'
Via deadline.com: Aimee Garcia (Dexter) has been cast in NBC’s drama pilot County, a medical drama from writer-exec producer Jason Katims starring Jason Ritter. The Universal TV-produced project chronicles the lives of a group of young doctors, nurses, and administrators in a frenetic underfunded and morally compromising LA County Hospital. Garcia will play one of them, a sharp-witted, no-nonsense new intern at the hospital. County marks the second NBC/Universal TV medical drama gig for Garcia who also co-starred on the 2009 series Trauma.

Happy Birthday, Michael C. Hall!
Today, Michael C. Hall turns 41! Born Michael Carlyle Hall on February 1, 1971 he is a North Carolina native and graduate of NYU's Master of Fine Arts program in acting. His most recent performance was on Broadway as the emcee in "Cabaret." Hall has previously starred in nearly a dozen major off-Broadway plays, including "Macbeth" for the New York Shakespeare Festival, "Cymbeline" for the New York Shakespeare Festival at Central Park's Delacorte Theater, "Timon of Athens" and "Henry V" at the Public, "The English Teachers" for Manhattan Class Company, "Corpus Christi" at the Manhattan Theatre Club, and "Skylight" at the Mark Taper Forum. On TV he starred for 5 seasons on Six Feet Under, playing the role of David Fisher. Hall is currently starring in and co-producing Dexter. Soon he will start shooting the seventh season of our favorite TV show! Happy B-Day Michael!
