  1. He kill Travis's sist so it can't be very long, my guess is between a few hours to a day or two.

  2. Earlier in the season they said no one had heard from Gellar for 3 years, im guessing that's around the time Travis killed him or died of another cause.

  3. EJO said in an interview a few days ago that Gellar was "Not a bad guy".

So, unfortunately, he died before the season even began. Creating a host of logistical issues that the show is unlikely to ever explain but which make no sense.

  7. OK everyone .... think!!!! A. We NEVER Saw gellar do anything physical. .....B. he was rarely seen away from the pulpit the freezer was under. C. Gellar didn't have coffee with Travis, or D. even acknowledged when in public with him. Finally, F!! First episode. U know and I know that Travis approached the produce sales man and gutted him while gellar stayed in the car? . Its hard to accept, but im pretty.sure Travis killed his sister. HES CRAZY!!!!!

  8. I think Gellar has been dead for years.

There really aren't any technical problems with Gellar being dead, that can't be explained by Travis' own warped mind. It's not so unbelievable to that Travis did it all on his own. What would be interesting, though, is if we found out there was someone else helping Travis. It's at least worth considering, anyway. It could even be Louis for all I know. That sure wouldn't hurt DDK's cause to have someone on the inside of the investigation. Though, I don't think I would like it if Louis was connected to the DDK case. Louis just doesn't seem like someone who could so easily be convinced to think of himself as a warrior of god, whose sole purpose is to punish so-called sinners. Anyway, it's more dramatic if Travis killed his own sister. That fact alone will give Dexter a lot to think about in the future, as well.

  9. I don't understand what you people are talking about.I mean how you discuss this. They mentioned no one seen professor Gellar since he was fired with the accusation he stole an ancient sword which supposedly belonged to John the Revelator. And that was 3 years ago.So 3 years nobody saw the professor.Travis mentioned he knew the professor since his first year in college, which obviously was before the professor sudden disappearance. And he also mentioned how the professor took him under his wing teaching him all of this.Travis somehow developed a dissociative identity disorder, a.k.a multiple personalities(from what we know about him we know he has two for now).At some point he killed the professor(we don't know his reason for doing so).And here is where it gets interesting.Either Travis developed the other new personality when he killed Gellar or shortly after that and such his ne personality is the professor, meaning his brain created a new personality that speaks and acts exactly like Gellar or exactly like how Travis recalls Gellar's personality traits and mannerisms.Or Travis already had another personality and after he killed the professor, this personality modelled itself after Gellar. So, either he killed Gellar and developed a personality modelled after him or he had another personality that modelled after Gellar after Travis killed him.Either way, Travis did all the killings alone. He was just unaware of this, because he can speak and interact with his Gellar personality like he is a real person. And for those who don't know, he actually is real.Multiple personality doesn't mean the sufferer is imaginig other people in his head like how some psychotics or schizophrenic people are.The other personlities that are formed in time are real, capable of doing things right after they are in control of the host personality's body.So Gellar is real, only not as a human being, but as an alter ego of Travis. That's why Dexter realized they were two Doomsday Killers, because they are.The cuts on the victims that were sloppy were Travis peronality work, the murder itself and the planning were Gellar peronality work.So Travis abducted the people who would become victims and then his Gellar persona came into action killing them.So all the killings were done by Gellar, not by Travis, only those killins were done by Travis alter personality modelled after Gellar to resemble Gellar. With his sister was the same.Gellar appeared before Travis knocking him off. Then Gellar took control of his body and so he killed Travis's sister.Poor woman. She must have seen her brother doing that to her, not realizing it wasn't her brother, but another personality of her brother. And that is how it works.Any human can develop multiple personality. It happens when one experiences a trauma or a series of trauma his counscious can't cope with.So the mind creates other personalities that are able to cope with those personal traumas. It's a coping mechanism. The problem is those personalities remain, they don't disappear in time.So is like more people inhabiting the same body, only one was the first and the original and the others are new residents that won't go no matter what you do.

  10. uh i'm guessing a lot of you didn't read the writer interview or the olmos interview, or take the hint from the previews or even the answer options to this question. gellar has been dead--at minimum--since before the season started. probably longer. travis did all of the killings himself and in no scene this season have we seen an alive gellar. there is zero room for inferring otherwise.

  11. The anonymous post from 12/03/2011 at 3:25 PM is absolutely right. Gellar has been dead for 3 years, shortly after Travis graduation picture with Gellar was taken. When Travis is acting like Gellar, he is being Gellar, that is why when Travis being Travis realize his sister is dead, he is in pain, because he can't remember what he does when he has Gellar's personality. That is why, when Travis wakes up at the hotel, he gets scared when he goes to the bathroom and sees the hand in the sink and the bloody message. He is not aware he is doing the killings when he is under Gellar's personality.

  14. unfortunately there is absolutely no chance that Gellar was alive for any portion of this season, making the events of episodes 1-9 that much more incredulous and unbelievable. Just a few things to consider:

    - Travis BURNT HIMSELF with a heating rod and assumed it was being done by a figure that did not exist!
    - Travis woke up (in his "Gellar state") after he slept with the waitress, tied her up in his kitchen, went back to sleep, then woke up AGAIN and found her there not knowing what happened!! Then he pleaded with someone who WASNT THERE to let her go!
    - Travis got knocked out (or knocked into his Gellar state?) killed his sister, placed her in a playground, brought himself to the church, LOCKED HIMSELF UP, and then "woke up" not realizing what happened? Ok...Now what if Dexter didnt show up, how would Travis have got out of the chains? Was he supposed to have the key in his pcokets?
    - Travis managed to knock out the atheist professor and HIDE HIS BODY in the ten minutes that Dexter was stuck in the elevator. Also, we assume Travis doesn't have control of his "Gellar personality" and thus we have to believe that it was coincidence that "Gellar" took over for JUST THOSE TEN MINUTES and then gave control back to Travis as soon as the atheist was hidden somewhere?
-THEN, the Gellar personality takes over for an entire NIGHT as he goes back to the university and kills the atheist, writes on the walls of the hotel room Dexter booked him, leaves a hand in the sink, and then "Travis" wakes up and doesnt know any of it happened?!?!

100% absurd and unbelievable. All of the events of this season also force us to believe that "Gellar" knows what Travis is doing and can take over whenever he wants but Travis does NOT KNOW what "Gellar" is doing and can lose control at any minute. Unbelievable.

    Classic literature. "Scary Story"

I will post on this further in another thread.

  16. what about when dexter and travis were working together to get Gellar before he got to that professor, and they were on that campus and were hiding and they both saw Gellar walking by a fountain. Does anyone else remember this? Also I dont see how it is relevant that Gellar has been dead for 2 weeks or 2 years.. lets hear it
