    I THINK SHE WILL DROP IT CAUSE MATHEWS KNOWS HER FATHER KILLED HISELF AND HE KNOWS THAT BRIAN AND DEXTER ARE BROTHER BLACKMAIL FOR BLACKMAIL

    If she doesn't let it drop Matthews can always fire her and continue to discredit her in order to cover up for himself.Adn most likely he will get away.However if supposedly Matthews had killed someone in his life prior to this and Dexter finds out it will end with Matthews on Dexter's table.

    Plot twist! Matthews is actually responsible for Harry's death, the lie he told Dexter about it being suicide was a coverup...he claims he was the last person to talk to Harry, nah he killed him! Why? Well that's a stickler...maybe Harry knew too much kind of how Deb does now...perhaps Matthews was the one responsible for that poor victim of Juan Rinez and when he saw Dexter killing the wrong man, he felt like shit. No way to turn back now...

    Crazy theory, I know.
