October 1 marks exactly 20 years since the original Dexter series debuted, and ahead of this major milestone, Paramount+ chose perhaps the best way possible to celebrate the occasion: by releasing the full official trailer for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.
The trailer runs for two minutes, and honestly, the footage alone is enough to get fans instantly excited for the sophomore season.
The video actually gives us a proper first look at several new and returning characters, including, of course, our first glimpse at Don Framt, the New York Ripper, whose true identity was heavily discussed throughout the first season. What the trailer reveals about him, and how the NYPD has already managed to trace him, could surprise many fans.
The midlife crisis theme is also very strong throughout the trailer, with Dexter Morgan having conversations about it with Harry through his own mind. It looks like this will be a major part of Dexter's journey in Season 2.
