With the second season of Dexter: Resurrection just around the corner, it looks like Dexter fans are getting another exciting treat.
On October 29, it was officially revealed that the (non licensed) music we've been listening to throughout the first season of the sequel series is finally getting an official soundtrack release, with composer Pat Irwin bringing making the announcement fans have been waiting for.
The best part is that fans won't have to wait any longer to get their hands on it. The album's release date actually coincides with the Season 2 premiere of Dexter: Resurrection, making the timing even better.
That's right! Titled "Dexter: Resurrection Original Series Soundtrack, Vol. 1", the album is set to debut on October 30. The news was first shared by Irwin himself in an Instagram post, where he revealed the cover, and expressed his excitement about the release.
"I'm so thrilled that the music for Dexter: Resurrection is getting out into the air," the composer wrote.
Irwin was among those eager to see his work finally get the release it deserves. Although it has taken longer than we expected, it is definitely a case of better late than never.
What to Expect From the Dexter: Resurrection Soundtrack
We've also have more information about what the album will include. From what we've learned here at Dexter Daily, the release will actually feature more than 20 tracks from the series, including the viral and beloved "Blood Theme" by the late Daniel Licht.
Some of the track titles include "Back to Basics," "Harrison Kills Ryan," "Too Old for This," "Dexter Follows Red," and "Crazy White Men."
Listening to the OG Dexter: Resurrection soundtrack will be a great way to revisit Season 1, and remember the scenes that each track brought to life. With Season 2 premiering on the very same day, there's honestly no better time to return to the music that helped make the first season even stronger.
