For a sixth consecutive week, the beloved YouTube series is back, and this time, one of its guests returns to the couch after a four-episode absence.

Dexter’s Kill Room, the weekly YouTube series that has now been running for three years, is back with another episode, and unlike most of the previous Season 3 episodes, this one is dedicated entirely to Dexter: Resurrection Season 1, and that is all thanks to this week’s special guest.

Kadia Saraf, who portrays formidable NYPD Detective Claudette Wallace, joins the series for the first time ever. Sitting alongside her is executive producer and writer Scott Reynolds, who is also back after appearing on the series with Jack Alcott just a few weeks ago.

With an actor and writer together as guests, the format of this episode is a little different. Saraf and Reynolds watch some of the most important scenes featuring Wallace throughout Dexter: Resurrection Season 1, while sharing their thoughts and some fun behind-the-scenes details along the way.

Kadia Saraf Revisits Claudette Wallace’s Biggest Scenes

The episode begins with Wallace’s introduction in Episode 1 and continues all the way through Episode 10, when Claudette finally learns the ugly truth about Leon Prater, the same man who was just hosting an NYPD fundraiser just downstairs.

In between, there are many other important Wallace scenes, and Saraf and Reynolds bring a lot of humor to the viewing while offering some interesting behind-the-scenes insight into how those moments came together.

Once the viewing comes to an end, the two discuss some of the feedback they received from fans, including the huge amount of attention about the New York Ripper. The character fascinated viewers throughout Season 1, particularly because of his notorious reputation and the mystery surrounding his true identity.

Scott Reynolds explained: “What we didn't expect this season was that people would focus on the New York Ripper so much and start to have all these fan theories about who it was, who it was on camera, like it was going to be somebody we were going to solve this season.”

Scott Reynolds Teases Dexter: Resurrection Season 2

Reynolds also teased Season 2 by revealing something that fans now know will carry over into the upcoming season. However, at the time this episode was filmed in Los Angeles, the Season 2 writers’ room was still open and filming had not yet begun, meaning this information was not widely known.

“Framt will carry over into Season 2 and things will not be as easy as Detective Claudette Wallace thought,” Reynolds teased. That final comment about Wallace is particularly interesting, as it goes against some of the theories fans had after seeing Kadia Saraf interacting with Brian Cox during Season 2 filming.

As for what she actually hopes to see from Wallace in Season 2, Saraf said that she is most excited to explore more of the character beyond what viewers saw in the first season.

“The most exciting thing for me is to learn more about her and her private life. Perhaps just more layers to who she is and what we've come to learn in Season 1, how she presents herself to the world, what's behind that, you know, there's more layers and we love seeing more layers and experiencing more of that.”

As mentioned above, this is the sixth episode of Dexter’s Kill Room Season 3. Based on the episode count from previous seasons, this could potentially be the final of the series for this year.
