is now looking for men and women to appear as diner patrons in an upcoming episode, potentially Episode 2 of Season 2.
Applicants must be 18 or older, and one of the most interesting details is that the production is specifically looking for non-union talent. That means you do not need to be a SAG-AFTRA actor in order to apply for this paid background role.
As for filming dates, the casting call lists two possible work days next week: Tuesday, May 12, or Wednesday, May 13. According to the listing, selected extras can only work one of those dates, which could mean that two separate diner scenes are being filmed, possibly even for different episodes.
Filming will take place in Brooklyn, and the casting notice also mentions both summer interior and exterior scenes. That detail seems to confirm that the new season will actually take place during late spring and summer, unlike the first season, which was mostly set during winter.
When it comes to theories about the scene itself, diners have always played an important role in movies and television. They are often used as neutral ground where significant conversations happen, including confessions, and turning points. On top of that, diners are visually perfect for dialogue-heavy scenes, which actually makes them a favorite setting in Hollywood productions.
