Dexter: Resurrection has officially been in production for two months. Serving as a sequel to the 2021-2022 miniseries Dexter: New Blood, the upcoming series has assembled an impressive cast, including several high-profile actors.
This past week has been particularly generous in providing behind-the-scenes content. Filming took place in highly populated locations, making it difficult to keep certain scenes under wraps.
One of the most intriguing scenes filmed on Monday in Central Park featured Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction star Uma Thurman alongside Michael C. Hall, who reprise their roles as Charley and Dexter Morgan, respectively.
Who is Charley in Dexter: Resurrection?
For those unfamiliar, Thurman portrays Charley, a series regular who serves as the Head of Security for billionaire Leon Prater (played by Peter Dinklage). A former Special Ops officer, Charley has an extensive background in high-level private security, making her a resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.
New Set Photos—A Closer Look at Dexter and Charley’s Interaction
On Tuesday, we shared a collection of set photos featuring Thurman dressed in a green jacket and shirt, wearing sunglasses, and standing near her character's parked car in Central Park. Michael C. Hall was also spotted close by, clad in a deep black hoodie with the hood up, sunglasses, and a cap. At the time, their potential connection within the series remained unclear.
However, these new images offer a deeper insight. These photos show Dexter and Charley engaging in actual interactions inside her car, hinting at a significant connection between the two characters. While the context of their conversation remains unknown, there is speculation that Dexter may be working for Charley—possibly in an undercover capacity.

Notably, on the same day, Michael C. Hall was also seen filming scenes with Krysten Ritter in Central Park. Interestingly, he was wearing a completely different outfit, suggesting that his interactions with these two characters might not be linked within the same episode or storyline.
What Does This Mean for Dexter Morgan?
From the moment Uma Thurman’s casting was announced, it was evident that her character would play a pivotal role in the series. Her status as a series regular further reinforces her significance in the overarching narrative.
Given Charley’s extensive background in Special Ops and private security, one major question arises: How much does she know about Dexter Morgan’s past? If Dexter is operating under an alias—much like he did in Dexter: New Blood—can he truly keep his identity hidden from someone with her expertise?
