Another exciting week on the set of the Dexter prequel has wrapped up, and it was a blast!
We're officially 40 days away from the premiere of Dexter: Original Sin, with production set to wrap by the end of the month. Week 21 brought an unforgettable experience for the cast and crew as they filmed scenes for the final episode(s) of the season—just in time for Halloween, which made this week even more special. The week kicked off on a sweet note last Monday, when special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar surprised everyone on set with custom Dexter-themed cookies, crafted with a touch from Dexter Daily. Read the full story and see the photos here.
As if Sarah Michelle Gellar's cookies weren't enough, the production team and Showtime treated everyone to a Beignet Box trailer at the shoot location. Christina Milian, who stars as young LaGuerta, couldn’t resist snapping a selfie with some sweets.
November 1st marked the final day on set for Sarah Kinsey, who portrays young Camilla Figg. She commemorated the moment with a selfie outside CBS Radford Studios, where most of the action unfolds. "Camilla's last day on the set for Dexter: Original Sin. Bittersweet," she shared on her Instagram stories, hopeful that the Dexter prequel will be renewed for a second season.
Kinsey also shared a photo of the first Dexter: Original Sin script she received, hinting that Camilla will make her debut in the second episode, titled "Kid in a Candy Store."
London Thatcher, the young actor playing Patrick Dempsey's son in Dexter: Original Sin, was on set for a last-minute, late-night shoot, sharing a mirror selfie with his mother from inside his trailer.
The final two photos in this roundup are from Week 19 of shooting, specifically October 22nd, and feature actor Carlo Mendez—fun fact: he’s Eva Mendes's younger brother—relaxing in his trailer before filming his scenes. Mendez, who kindly tagged Dexter Daily on his Instagram stories, is seen in a retro 1970s outfit, as he appears exclusively in flashback scenes.
For those unfamiliar, Carlo Mendez plays Hector Estrada, one of the men responsible for the brutal murder of Laura Moser in 1973—a tragic event that young Dexter and Brian witnessed.
