The Dexter prequel series about the early years of Dexter Morgan is officially moving forward. According to Bloomberg, Paramount Global executive Chris McCarthy confirmed that a Dexter prequel is in the works. Clyde Phillips who was the showrunner of Dexter seasons one through four, and Dexter: New Blood will be a part of the new beginning. The show will be set in Miami, it will chronicle Dexter Morgan's origin story and "touch on stories of real-life serial killers of the time period."
