Dexter's Josh Cooke Cast as One of TV Land's Brothers-in-Law
Via: TVLine.com: Having dabbled in (dark) drama on Dexter, Josh Cooke is returning to his sitcom roots, as one of the Brothers-in-Law in a pilot for TV Land, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Executive-produced by Scott Stuber (Whitney), Bill Martin and Mike Schiff (3rd Rock From the Sun), Brothers-in-Law revolves around Neil (Cooke), a regular Joe who is repeatedly forced to spend time with the eccentric fiancé of his wife’s twin sister, even though the guys share nothing in common.
Brothers-in-Law received a cast-contingent pilot order in May, along with I’m Not Dead Yet, a single-camera comedy about a man who finds out that he has a possibly fatal heart condition and thus decides to start speaking his mind and living life to the fullest.
In addition to his stint on Dexter (which will continue into Season 7), Cooke’s TV credits include Better With You, Scrubs and Committed.

Yvonne Strahovski on Her 'Dexter' Role as Hannah McKay: "I Feel Very Lucky"
Via: TVLine.com: With Chuck and that loyal gaggle of Nerd Herders behind her, Yvonne Strahovski has (as previously reported) set her sights on a killer role in Dexter‘s upcoming seventh season.
Unfortunately, as is typical with the Showtime saga, details surrounding the guest spot are being kept under wraps. That didn’t, however, stop the bubbly actress from gushing to TVLine about her new gig on Wednesday night, at the Australian Breakthrough Awards (where she was an honoree).
“I feel very lucky to have come from Chuck, and then gone straight into a movie, I, Frankenstein, and then to something completely different again with Dexter,” Strahovski said of her transition from one cult fave to another.
“Dexter is respected for the quality of work that the actors and the writers and everybody brings to that show,” she continued, praising the series she now calls home. “It’s just really nice to be part of something that’s so celebrated in this industry.”
As for how her mystery lady plays into Dexter‘s slice-n-dicey world, Strahovski was careful not to show her hand (or even one card) just yet. She did tease, cagily, that her character, Hannah McKay, is “a woman who is haunted by her past, and [becomes] involved in solving a murder through Dexter.”
And why exactly is she so beneficial in aiding such an investigation? Laughed Strahovski, “That is a mystery that I cannot reveal!”

Exec. Producer Sara Colleton On What Is Season 7 About and Much More [Spoilery Interview]
Executive Producer Sara Colleton talks Dexter Season 7 on TVGuide.com, in a very very interesting interview. It looks like it's going to be a great season! [Warning: This story contains major spoilers from the upcoming season of Dexter. Read at your own risk.]
Via TVGuide.com: Dexter is in trooooouble! When Dexter returns for its seventh — and penultimate — season, both viewers and their favorite serial-killing blood spatter analyst will discover just what happens when his secret is revealed.
The last we saw of Dexter (Michael C. Hall), he had finally delivered his own biblical form of vengeance upon Travis (Colin Hanks), who had left Miami in fear over where the Doomsday Killer would strike next. He had also kidnapped Dexter's son Harrison, which finally hit a nerve with the often emotionless Dexter, who then stuck it to Travis — literally — in the closing moments of the finale. Unfortunately, Dexter wasn't alone in that church, with Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) planning to profess her love to her brother before walking in on him driving a knife into Travis.
Clearly, Deb's reaction will be Dexter's greatest obstacle this season as he's faced with someone finally taking off his mask. But his sister isn't the only person Dexter will have to worry about when evidence at the church suggests the Bay Harbor Butcher is back. Considering Dexter framed Doakes (Erik King) for that, even Deb may not be able to protect him.
TVGuide.com turned to executive producer Sara Colleton to get the scoop on the seventh season, including Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski's killer new role and saying goodbye to Dexter after Season 8. Read the whole interview after the jump...

Dexter Season 7 - New Set Photos
Check out above two new set photos from the seventh season of Dexter. The guy who took these photos said: “They're filming one of my favorite shows, Dexter, a block away from my house again! I think I'll chill on the block until I see Michael C Hall or Jennifer Carpenter.”
Dexter Season 8 Will 'Definitely' Be the Final Season
Executive producer Sara Colleton gave an exclusive and spoilerish interview on TVGuide.com. One of the things she said was that the next season of Dexter will be the final. We'll post her full spoilery interview later.
Since the show has been renewed for two more seasons, is this definitely the end?
Colleton: This was definite. We wanted to end it this year, but the network convinced us that it would be best to do it in two years. In some ways, this is a two-season series-ender. We have worked that out and know where it's going to end. Next year will definitely be the last year of Dexter. Absolutely.

Julia Stiles On Her New Movie, Dexter and More
Via: craveonline.com: The Los Angeles Film Festival has the world premiere of It’s A Disaster, an end of the world comedy by writer/director Todd Berger. Four couples get together for a brunch and end up barricaded in when they hear a bomb went off and the contamination will kill everyone. Julia Stiles plays Tracy, who shows up to lunch with her latest boyfriend (David Cross), and her biggest regret in the end is that she never watched “The Wire.” We spoke with her by phone before the June 20 premiere at LAFF.
CraveOnline: Was it fun acting all the panicking screaming chaos of It’s a Disaster?
Julia Stiles: Yes, although I feel like my character was the last one to really absorb the fact that the world is ending, but yeah, it was really fun. We had a good time.
That’s why I thought when you finally freak out and panic must’ve been a good moment.
And also, I love that all the characters do this, but mine in particular is completely in denial, so she focuses on minutiae or something less important than the end of the world. So her panicking screaming frustration fear at the end is all focused on her date.
As an actor is it possible to go too big with that?
I wasn’t really thinking if it was too big or the size of my reaction. I was just trying to relate to it. Largely it came out of her denial of it all. Read the full interview after the jump...
