For a second consecutive week, Fridays are special for Dexter fans as a new episode of Dexter: Resurrection is now available to watch. This week's episode was actually one of the longest in the franchise's history, running for nearly an hour.
"Fallen" gives Harrison a fresh start at the NYPD, as hinted at by an official still released months ago. After everything Dexter's son has been through, seeing him finally find his way toward the future he has always wanted is an especially rewarding and satisfying part of the episode.
Keeping up our weekly tradition here at Dexter Daily, we've prepared a new poll for everyone who watched the latest episode. Before you cast your vote at the end of the article, let's take a look at some of the episode's highlights in our spoiler-free summary.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Episode 2 – 'Fallen'
Runtime: 58 minutes
Writer: Scott Buck
Director: Marcos Siega
One of the episode's biggest highlights was the return of Uma Thurman as Charley Brown. Sporting a completely different hairstyle, she interrupts Dexter and Harrison's breakfast at the local diner, where the two have been meeting regularly. The scene was actually featured in one of Paramount+'s sneak peeks ahead of the episode, and it was clear that Dexter wasn't exactly thrilled to see her again.
However, things between them quickly take a different turn. Not only do the two seem to get along surprisingly well, but they also agree to work together and take down some of the serial killers in Leon Prater's files. Charley knows many of them well, making her help particularly valuable to Dexter.
The New York Ripper also makes an appearance, with the actor delivering an absolutely superb performance as the notorious, retired serial killer. This actually proves once again how strong the season's casting has been.
