Since 2024, following the premiere of Dexter: Original Sin, Paramount+ has made it clear that Dexter is one of the very few shows in its library that deserves its own companion series to go along with the weekly episodes. That series is Dexter: Final Cut.
Released weekly alongside the franchise’s latest episodes, Dexter: Final Cut brings together actors and producers from the show to discuss everything that happened in the most recent episode, while also sharing some juicy behind-the-scenes details and stories.
And for everyone who loves Dexter: Final Cut (and we know there are many of you out there) we have some good news.
Dexter: Final Cut Renewed for Season 3
Paramount+ has officially renewed Dexter: Final Cut for a third season, with the announcement included in the network’s press release about the Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 trailer.
Jamie Chung, who portrayed Molly Park in Dexter: New Blood, has hosted Dexter: Final Cut since 2024 and will return as the host for Season 3. She has actually become a familiar face for fans of the aftershow, and having her back for another season is definitely something exciting.
As usual, the new season will consist of 10 episodes, with each installment set to be released on the official Dexter YouTube channel.
When Does Dexter: Final Cut Season 3 Premiere?
The Season 3 premiere is scheduled for Halloween, October 31, 2026. New episodes will be uploaded every Saturday, just one day after the latest Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 episode, something that gives fans a chance to immediately dive deeper into what they just watched.
Paramount+ has also confirmed that each new episode will actually be available at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET.
Who Will Appear on Dexter: Final Cut Season 3?
Paramount+ has already revealed a few of the guests who will appear during the new season. Among them are franchise writer Scott Reynolds, Dexter stars Desmond Harrington and Jack Alcott, The Last of Us star and Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 guest star Gabriel Luna, and director Marcos Siega.
Jamie and her guests will break down each episode of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, while also sharing BTS stories and details that are exclusive to the specific after show. With 10 new episodes of Dexter: Resurrection on the way, there should be a lot of things for Jamie Chung and the rest of the guests to unpack.
