October 8 turned out to be a special day for several cast and crew members of Dexter: Resurrection. Just a few hours after the New York Comic Con panel for the upcoming second season, another major event took place in the Big Apple, one that had remained under wraps publicly until it happened.
Paramount+ celebrated 20 years of Dexter and the upcoming second season of Dexter: Resurrection with a special event at the Dexter 20th Anniversary Museum Experience, just one day before the attraction officially opened its doors to fans.
Twenty years after Dexter Morgan first made his mark as television’s most iconic serial killer, the celebration brought together familiar faces from the latest installment to mark this major milestone and look ahead to the highly anticipated new season.

The star-studded red carpet actually brought together the majority of the Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 cast, including Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Desmond Harrington, Nona Parker Johnson, and James Remar.
They were joined by guest stars Krysten Ritter and Eric Stonestreet, as well as executive producers Clyde Phillips, Scott Reynolds, and Marcos Siega, among others. The event offered a chance to celebrate two decades of the franchise while looking ahead to what Season 2 has in store for Dexter Morgan and the rest of the main characters.
However, despite the impressive turnout, a few notable names were missing. Among the biggest absences were Brian Cox, who portrays Don Framt, aka the New York Ripper, and Dan Stevens, who plays Lucas Stark, aka the Five Borough Killer, another major antagonist in the upcoming season.

After the cast and crew posed for photos on the red carpet, a cocktail party followed, with DJ Mos providing the music and helping create a celebratory atmosphere.
Some of the cocktails featured the official Dexter logo, while others had names inspired by the sophomore season of Dexter: Resurrection. It was definitely a thoughtful touch for an evening dedicated to one of television’s most beloved frachises.
One of the highlights of the night was seeing Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman posing together. Both looked fantastic, and the photos of the two stars make for some of the most memorable moments from the event. There were also some wonderful group photos, including the one featured at the top of this article.
Was This the Actual Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Premiere Event?
Although the event definitely looked like a traditional premiere, with the main cast dressed for the occasion and professional photographers covering the red carpet, we cannot yet describe it as the official premiere of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.
While it had all the elements of a typical premiere event, we have learned that Paramount+ does not consider this the season's official world premiere. For now, it is best described as a special celebration of the franchise's 20th anniversary and the upcoming season.
Here at Dexter Daily, we were happy to receive a special selection of images from Paramount+ covering the event, courtesy of Todd Williamson/January Images.
