Marcos Siega was confirmed months ago to direct six episodes, but there had been no information about who would take on the remaining four. Dexter Daily has learned that Erica Dunton will direct the remaining four episodes of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. As of now, it is still not known which specific episodes she will be taking over, but more details are definitely expected soon.
Dunton is brand new to the Dexter franchise, as she has not been involved with any previous episode. From what we understand, she is also a close collaborator and friend of Siega. She’s a rising director with an increasingly strong list of credits in recent years, having worked on several well-known TV shows across major networks and streaming platforms.
Her credits include You (Netflix), Ted Lasso (Apple TV+), Julia (HBO Max), The Waterfront (Netflix), Bad Monkey (Apple TV+), Brilliant Minds (NBC), and The Summer I Turned Pretty (Prime Video), among others.
Honestly, the timing of Erica Dunton joining the Dexter family couldn’t be better, as this marks another big step forward in her career, and possibly the most significant one yet. With filming about to begin, it likely won’t be long before we actually learn which episodes she will be directing.
