As the week wraps up, production for Dexter: Resurrection is still going strong in New York City—despite an exciting detour for two of its leading stars. Michael C. Hall and David Zayas are heading south to Mexico City for a highly anticipated panel dedicated to the upcoming series, drawing fans from both Mexico and the United States.
Even with the clock ticking—less than 45 days until the premiere—the behind-the-scenes team isn’t slowing down. Every detail is being meticulously crafted to deliver a season that lives up to fans’ sky-high expectations. And if the steady stream of recent set photos is any indication, that hard work is paying off.
The latest set of images, taken on Wednesday, May 28 (yes, the same day as these earlier photos), captures an exciting scene filmed in Tribeca, Manhattan. The photos feature Dexter stars Michael C. Hall, Jack Alcott, and David Zayas in action, exiting a subway station together. While it’s unclear whether any filming occurred inside the station, the trio was clearly at the heart of a pivotal moment.
What’s more, the energy on set was electric. In one candid shot, the three actors are seen laughing and sharing a lighthearted moment—proof that even amid intense scenes, there’s still room for some fun behind the camera.
This may be the first time we’ve seen both Michael C. Hall and David Zayas together at the same filming locations and in the same set photos — a strong indication not only of a reunion but also of exciting on-screen interactions between Dexter and Batista. Interestingly, David Zayas’s son, David Zayas Jr., was once again spotted on set. Just like in the original series, he appears to be serving as both his father’s stand-in and stunt double.
According to a clapperboard spotted in the background, the episode being filmed is Episode 9, with long-time Dexter collaborator Marcos Siega once again in the director’s chair.
Interestingly, all three actors were dressed in nearly identical outfits to those seen in earlier months—suggesting strong continuity throughout the season’s timeline. It's details like these that make longtime Dexter fans eager to dissect every frame.
