Young Dexter Morgan Gets Thrilled in Latest Sneak Peek for Dexter: Original Sin – Watch Now!

Young Dexter reacts like a "Kid in a Candy Store".

Dexter: Original Sin debuts its first episode this Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime, and fans are in for a treat! A brand-new sneak peek from the prequel was unveiled on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The prequel's lead, Christian Slater—who plays Dexter's adoptive father, Harry Morgan—joined Jimmy Fallon on NBC's late-night show to promote this highly anticipated addition to the Dexter franchise. By the end of the interview, a 30-second sneak peek clip was revealed.

The clip, likely from the second episode of Dexter: Original Sin, titled "Kid in a Candy Store," features Miami Metro Homicide's Aaron Spencer (played by Patrick Dempsey) briefing the detectives about a new drug-related homicide in the streets of Miami.

We then see a young Dexter Morgan (portrayed by Patrick Gibson) mistakenly assume he’s being invited to join the investigation. Excited and eager, Dexter's enthusiasm is met with a quiet but stern piece of advice from his father, Harry, about controlling his dark impulses.

Dexter’s wide-eyed fascination with crime in his early days perfectly captures the episode's title—he’s like a kid in a candy store, delightfully intrigued by the world of criminal investigations.

Check out the sneak peek below!
