The countdown is on—just three days until Dexter: Original Sin premieres on Paramount+ with Showtime! Tomorrow marks a momentous occasion for the Dexter franchise, as cast and crew of the highly anticipated prequel will gather for its New York City red carpet premiere. While the exact location remains undisclosed, the event promises to be a star-studded celebration.
Fans can look forward to seeing Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Molly Brown, Patrick Dempsey, Christina Milian, and other cast members in attendance. Key members of the creative team, including writers, producers, and directors, will also walk the red carpet. Although it’s uncertain if actors from the original Dexter series will make an appearance, it would be thrilling to see them posing alongside their new-generation counterparts.
Unlike the Dexter: New Blood red carpet event on November 1, 2021—which had a more fan-inclusive approach—Paramount+ has opted for a more exclusive format this time. The event is restricted to those directly involved in the production and their guests. This change means that Dexter Daily, which previously sent our contributor Nick Henderson to cover the New Blood premiere, won’t be present at this event.
But there’s more exciting news for Dexter fans! On December 12, Christian Slater (Harry Morgan), Patrick Dempsey (Aaron Spencer), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Tanya Martin), Patrick Gibson (Dexter Morgan), Christina Milian (Maria LaGuerta), and Molly Brown (Deb Morgan) will attend a special event at the 92NY Center for Culture & Arts. This evening will feature an exclusive screening of Episode 101, titled “Original Sin,” followed by a live conversation with the cast. They’ll discuss everything from reimagining iconic characters to introducing new faces, as well as their on-set chemistry.
Fans lucky enough to have secured tickets will enjoy the event in person at Buttenwieser Hall in The Arnold Center, New York City. The screening begins at 8 PM ET, with the live conversation kicking off at 9 PM ET.
