Four Miami Metro actors got their hands on a 1990s time capsule!
Sarah Michelle Gellar (Tanya Martin), Patrick Dempsey (Aaron Spencer), Christina Milian (Maria LaGuerta), and Alex Shimizu (Vincent Masuka) were recently invited by Showtime and Paramount+ to participate in a fun video where they try out a variety of iconic 1990s items, the decade in which Dexter: Original Sin is mostly set (1991). So, what do they do with these nostalgic items? They give them a go and decide whether they’re "dope" or "nope."
The choice of the term "dope" wasn’t random—it was a popular slang word in the '90s used to describe something cool, impressive, or excellent. Rooted in hip-hop and urban culture, "dope" became a key part of mainstream youth language during that time. So, we can definitely expect this word to be used plenty in the upcoming Dexter prequel!
The items featured in this entertaining video include hammer pants, a portable CD player, a slap bracelet, a beeper, a Trapper Keeper, and of course, a Tamagotchi.
