Dexter: Resurrection Sequel Set for June 2025 Release – Clyde Phillips Shares Filming Details

Filming for this new installment begins in less than a month!

Since Comic-Con back in July, we have known that Dexter: Resurrection will premiere around the Summer of 2025 but considering that production wouldn't begin until January, it was expected that this timeframe would probably put it closer to August.

Earlier today, in an interview with Discussing Film, Showrunner, Clyde Phillips, revealed some additional details about the filming and premiere schedule for this highly anticipated series and it sounds like it's coming sooner than we thought.

According to Phillips, production on Dexter: Resurrection begins in the first week of January and they are expecting the show to premiere in June 2025! That is just around 6-7 months between the premiere of Original Sin and Resurrection. With the first season of Original Sin ending on February 14th, that means we will only be without new Dexter for approximately 4 months!

With casting rumors just barely starting to make the rounds, the first week of January sounds sounds kind of unlikely but if anyone could speak of the schedule with any authority, it's Clyde Phillips.

Showtime/Paramount appear to have a vision for the future of the franchise and we can feel like they have been hitting their targets pretty consistently since the filming began. If they are as organized as they appear to be, a smooth shoot for Resurrection could definitely result in a June release as he says. With that said, we can that imagine post-production on the later episodes in the series would still be happening well into the season if that were the case.
