Writers for Dexter: Original Sin Episodes 102 and 107 Revealed

A writing duo takes on two episodes of Dexter: Original Sin Season 1!

After months of anticipation, Dexter fans were rewarded on Tuesday as Showtime and Paramount+ unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated Dexter: Original Sin. The trailer, running just under two minutes, debuted alongside the release of the official key art for the show’s inaugural season.

With just 15 days to go until the series premiere, excitement is building. The first episode, written by showrunner Clyde Phillips and directed by Michael Lehmann, is set to kick off the season on December 13. But who’s penning the second episode?

Episode 102, titled "Kid in a Candy Store", will premiere on Friday, December 20, and is written by the talented duo Katie Mathewson and Tanner Bean. The pair also contributed to Episode 107, though its title remains under wraps.

Mathewson and Bean are best known for their work on Disney+’s 'Hawkeye' and Freevee’s 'Jury Duty'. Yesterday they took to Instagram to share their excitement about Dexter: Original Sin, posting a collaborative announcement with an image of the show's poster.

“This was a killer job. With a killer cast and crew. And now, we’ve got a killer trailer. It’s safe to say… we’re dead. Don’t miss Dexter: Original Sin, coming to Paramount+ on December 13th (psst! Episodes 102 and 107 written by Katie Mathewson and Tanner Bean),” they shared enthusiastically.
