The network has just launched an exciting new YouTube series on Dexter's channel.
Showtime invites us into Dexter’s Kill Room, "where the knives are sharp, and the commentary is even sharper". In the premiere episode of this YouTube series, Erik King, who portrayed one of Dexter's most beloved characters, Sgt. Doakes, teams up with Monét X Change from RuPaul’s Drag Race to watch and react to the sixth episode of Dexter, "Return to Sender." This episode holds special significance for King, as he believes it's one of the episodes that humanized Doakes by introducing his family.
The studio is a replica of Dexter’s infamous kill room, filled with Easter eggs from the show. King watches the episode on an old-school CRT television, reminiscing with Monét, who is experiencing Dexter for the first time.
Each week on Dexter’s Kill Room, a different "host" and cast member from the show will guide viewers through a new episode.
“People still stop me on the street about Doakes,” King shares. “I’m proud of it. I’m proud of the work, and I’m proud of the way the character was written.”
