We are so back, Dexter fans!
Lights, camera, ACTION! The Dexter franchise is alive again, and this time we're about to go back in time to the early years of Dexter Morgan, back when he first joined Miami Metro P.D. That's right, filming for Dexter: Original Sin has just kicked off, and all seven main actors are currently in Miami to shoot all the exterior scenes needed, just like the original show did back in 2005.
As you may already know, the prequel is executive produced by Clyde Phillips and produced by SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios.
Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Original Sin follows Dexter as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
Earlier today, Alex Shimizu, the actor portraying the younger version of fan-favorite character Vince Masuka, shared a story on Instagram where he's seen celebrating with his co-star Molly Brown, who plays Deborah Morgan, in Miami, between takes or before shooting starts.
