Breaking news! Website TVLine just announced exclusively that Showtime will not be moving forward with a second season of Dexter: New Blood, and it is planning to develop a Dexter reboot which will be centered on the early years of America's favorite serial killer!

According to TVLine and several insiders, Showtime ditched the idea of a Harrison spinoff, and instead, it is exploring a number of new stories for the Dexter franchise, with the main one being a prequel series centered around a young version of Dexter Morgan.
