Clyde Phillips, the showrunner of the seasons one through four of Dexter, recently revealed that the first and the tenth episode of the upcoming revival are written by him. He described the last episode (which is most likely to be the final episode of the franchise, ever) as the best thing he has ever written.
Phillips said: "In my first year of Dexter I was a damn good producer. In my fourth year of Dexter I was an amazing producer and writer. And having written the first and the tenth episode of the reboot, I think the tenth episode is the best thing I've written".
