  1. Awesome! I love how they included the "if I could have feelings for anyone, I would have them for Deb" line...

    1. I figured since they added those lines and "she's the only person in the world who loves me," i think it means that maybe Dexter will reciprocate his feelings for Deb when he finds out that she's in love with him. He might be shocked at first, but i think he'll end up falling for her too.

    2. Yes, I think that too :) After all she really is "the one" for him, she has always been the one... And if it was said at Comic-Con that the theme of season 7 is "What are the consequences of love?"...

  2. They show Lumen in the recap but not Doakes?

  3. Meh. Lumen. She rejected him in the end. Should've stuck her w/ the needle and killed her lol.

Whole concept was a bad way to follow S4. It also gets worse with each viewing. Jordan Chase is a cartoon character and at the end of it, it annoyed me, he never got his true chat with him. He talked about his potential in the end with the kill tools but he didn't know that is who he was.

    1. Season 5 was good (but not great), but since we have the Rita arc in season 1-4 and the Debra arc in season 6-8, they should have skipped Lumen. A whole season wasted on something that isn't relevant to the main story of the series.

    2. Joe: Yeah, I actually never liked season 5 either... But the way I see it, it brought us two significant changes in storyline that we can be grateful for: a) Dexter and his ability to "love" someone, being more humane than ever, b) Debra realising some people deserve to die for what they've done, some people deserve to not to be pursued by police even though they are technically "criminals" and she also realised that "everything isn't always black and white"... That was very important developement that made season 6 and 7 possible and so for this I honour season 5 even though I never liked Lumen and etc. :)

  4. I don't think that Dexter is gonna fall for Deb. But maybe he'll fake some feelings so Deb would keep him safe.

    1. Fake feelings? We are in season 7, post Lumen. I think Dex is beyond that point now.

    2. Well, a) he does have feelings for her - maybe not exactly the same as Debra has for him, but... he probably also doesn't realise what are his true feelings for her, same as Debra did't realise it for years, b) it's not possible to fake feelings for someone who knows so much about you :) i.e. to lie someone on this level, you need him not to be too close to you, not realy knowing the way you think and all - like it was between Dexter and Rita... but Debra will now probably understand Dexter in the fulness of his character and I really don't think it's possible to fake feelings at that point :)

    3. In the end he hardly could hide anything from Rita.

btw: He was more honest about his feelings to Rita than he was to Deb:

*In the end of season 1, Rita askes him "you're ok?", and he answers "no", While any time Deb asks such a question, he tells her he's fine.

*In season 2, he tells Rita everything about Santos Jeminez and his mother's death, but when Deb finds out the truth about Brian in season 4, he tells her that he doesn't remember anything about his mom.

*In season 4, he tells Rita that she would leave him if she saw the darkness inside him, that his demons control him etc. but he never tells Deb anything about that.

In a certain way Rita knew Dex but better than Deb ever did.

  5. Too much irrelevant season 6 stuff and to little important Dex/Deb stuff.

    1. Well, the title says "season 6 recap", not "Dexter/Debra relationship recap" :) They gave their relationship quite a lot of space for a general season 6 recap (thanks God for that)...
