Executive Producer and Showrunner of Dexter: New Blood Clyde Phillips talked with website TVLine about the possibilities for a second season. "As you can imagine, that’s not the first time I’ve been asked that, Dexter is hugely successful for Showtime". Is he going to be on board if the cabler asks him to continue the series? Clyde Phillips suggested that "It’s all in Showtime’s hands, if they were to call me and say, ‘We want to do Harrison. We want you to figure it out,’ I’m pretty busy, but I would drop everything I’m doing and jump right into it. I would love to do it, but it’s really up to Showtime."
