Dexter: Resurrection Episode 8 Sneak Peek: Dexter Plots How to Take Care of Al — Watch

Showtime has just released the official sneak peek for Episode 8 of Season 1.

The wait is almost over—Episode 8 of Dexter: Resurrection is right around the corner, and following the Thursday tradition, Showtime has officially released a brand-new sneak peek clip to get fans buzzing about what’s next.

Unlike previous weeks, this time the promotional material feels a bit limited. Aside from this newly released preview, the official synopsis, and the promo trailer, Paramount+ and Showtime still haven’t shared any official episode stills, which is leaving fans scratching their heads. Nevertheless, the new footage gives us plenty to speculate about—and it sets the stage for another intense chapter.

Last week’s episode ended on a nail-biting note. In a bold and impulsive move, Batista left his AirPod case—also functioning as a tracker—inside Dexter’s car. This means he can now follow Dexter’s every move across New York City. Could this be the turning point where Batista finally closes in on his long-time target?

Episode 8 Sneak Peek: Dexter’s Plans with Al Jolly

The new clip focuses on Al Jolly, the last surviving serial killer of Prater’s group, as he packs up clothes and sentimental items for his daughters. While preparing to head out, he takes a phone call from none other than Dexter, who is driving through the streets of New York with his ever-present companion—Harry, the voice inside his head.

In the conversation, Dexter—still pretending to be “Red”—invites Al out for a drink. But as fans know all too well, Dexter’s real intention is much darker. Al declines, explaining that he already has a ticket for the Broadway hit Hamilton. This little detail ties directly into the episode’s title, “The Kill Room Where It Happens,” a clever play on Hamilton’s iconic number The Room Where It Happens. Judging by the promo trailer, that title is more than fitting.

Al also reveals that after the show, he plans to drive back overnight to Wisconsin to reunite with his wife and daughters. In a rare moment of vulnerability, he admits to Dexter that he’s exhausted by the endless trail of murders and has no appetite for more chaos in New York City.

A Short but Powerful Episode

Episode 8 is expected to be the shortest installment of the season, but interestingly, this sneak peek is one of the longest released so far—running close to two full minutes. That alone suggests it’s packed with hints about where the story is heading.

Watch the full Episode 8 sneak peek below and get ready for another thrilling ride. With Batista closing in and Dexter plotting his next kill, the stage is set for a showdown fans won’t want to miss.
