Captain Angel Batista refuses to back down in his relentless pursuit of the truth.
A brand-new episode of Dexter: Resurrection is almost here, and the excitement among fans is at an all-time high. Last week’s explosive installment expertly set the stage for the second half of Season 1, and now all eyes are on what’s next. With Dexter and Harrison’s emotional reconciliation, Mia’s shocking arrest, and Angel Batista’s growing suspicions, there’s a lot to unpack as we head into Episode 6 and beyond.
As tradition goes, Showtime has released an official sneak peek clip from the upcoming sixth episode of Dexter: Resurrection, titled "Cats and Mouse." The newly released scene expands on a tense moment briefly shown in the Episode 6 promo trailer that dropped last Friday — and it’s already stirring up major conversation in the Dexter fandom.
Batista is passionate and determined
In this 100-second sneak peek, Angel Batista visits the NYPD precinct where Detectives Claudette Wallace and Melvin Oliva are based. What starts as a conversation quickly escalates as Batista makes a shocking — and very public — accusation that Dexter is the real Bay Harbor Butcher.
That’s right. Batista, clearly agitated but laser-focused, wastes no time confronting Wallace and Oliva. This marks his second visit to the pair this season, and by now, his sense of urgency is undeniable. He connects the dots between the murder of Ryan Foster, the arrest of Mia LaPierre, and the signature body disposal method that mirrors the Bay Harbor Butcher’s gruesome M.O.
His theory? Harrison Morgan is responsible for Ryan’s death — and Dexter, as the Bay Harbor Butcher, taught him how to do it.
Claudette Wallace Starts to Listen
Initially, both detectives seem skeptical. After all, the Bay Harbor Butcher case was officially closed years ago with James Doakes taking the fall. But when Batista directly states that Harrison is the killer — something Wallace already suspects — her demeanor changes instantly. Batista then lays out his version of how and why Mia Lapierre was arrested, and every detail aligns perfectly with what actually happened, proving once again that he's not just determined — he’s a damn good detective.
And just like that, the sneak peek cuts to black, leaving fans hanging and speculation spiraling online.
With tensions escalating and Batista risking everything to expose what he believes is the truth, the stage is set for a potentially game-changing episode.
