Dexter: Original Sin comes to an end this Friday—Will we get a Dexter: Resurrection teaser?
The first season of Dexter: Original Sin, the prequel series that took audiences by surprise with its positive reception, wraps up this Friday, February 14. While a second season has yet to be officially announced, it seems highly likely to be on the horizon.
The prequel's inaugural season premiered less than two months ago, on December 13, and just hours after its debut, Showtime released the first official teaser for the highly anticipated Dexter: Resurrection, starring Michael C. Hall.
What We Know About Dexter: Resurrection
This new installment serves as a sequel to Dexter: New Blood and follows Dexter Morgan after the events of the series finale—this time in a brand-new setting: New York City. Returning cast members include David Zayas, Jack Alcott, and James Remar, reprising their roles as series regulars. Additionally, the acclaimed Uma Thurman has joined the cast in a major series-regular role.
Will Showtime Drop a Dexter: Resurrection Teaser This Friday?
Since Showtime released a promo for Dexter: Resurrection right after the premiere of Dexter: Original Sin on December 13, there’s a strong chance that the network might do the same on the occasion of the season 1 finale this Friday.
Notably, today marks exactly one month since production on Dexter: Resurrection began, and a substantial amount of footage has already been filmed for the first two episodes. Given this progress, Showtime could very well surprise fans with a fresh teaser trailer to build excitement for the upcoming sequel.
Could We See Another Flashforward Scene?
Fans may recall that the Dexter: Original Sin premiere featured a flashforward scene—could the season finale include another one? It would certainly be a fitting way to bring the first season full circle.
