Dexter: Original Sin is gearing up for its highly anticipated debut. The series premieres on December 13 for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan, available via streaming and on-demand. Its televised U.S. premiere will follow two days later, on Sunday, December 15.
The prequel takes viewers back to 1991 Miami, exploring the early life of Dexter Morgan. At 20 years old, Dexter begins a forensic internship at Miami Metro Police. Under the mentorship of his father, Harry, he learns to channel his dark impulses into a strict "code," targeting only those who escape justice.
The first season will feature 10 episodes, unlike the original series, which ran 12 episodes per season. Following the weekly format of Dexter: New Blood, episodes will air consecutively for 10 weeks, uninterrupted by the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
