The beloved actor appeared on NBC's morning show earlier today.
Patrick Dempsey, one of the most high-profile additions to the cast of Dexter: Original Sin since June, made a guest appearance on TODAY earlier this morning. In the prequel series, Dempsey will portray Aaron Spencer, the Captain of Miami Metro Homicide—a role similar to the one held by Tom Matthews in the original Dexter series.
During the short interview, Patrick talked about the Dempsey Center, a free center offering counseling, integrative therapy and support for cancer patients. He also spoke about the highly anticipated Dexter prequel, set to premiere on Friday, December 13.
Reflecting on his reunion with Christian Slater after more than 30 years, Dempsey said, "When I first came to the city (Los Angeles) around '83 or '84, he was 15 at the time. We did 'Mobsters' together, and now here we are, working together again 30 years later, and we're having such a great time."
On Dexter: Original Sin, he added, "The culture of the show has been a wonderful journey. It’s a great group of people. We’re having so much fun, and the crew, the cast, and the scripts are fantastic."
