"Gonna be fun," teased C.S. Lee in his latest Instagram post.
On July 26, at San Diego Comic-Con, Clyde Phillips stunned the 5,000 attendees in Ballroom 20 by announcing a new Dexter series—a sequel to Dexter: New Blood starring Michael C. Hall.
A day after the panel, Michael C. Hall revealed in an interview with Variety that Dexter: Resurrection will pick up where Dexter: New Blood left off.
Now, more than two weeks after the announcement, C.S. Lee—who played one of the most iconic and beloved characters in the original Dexter series from 2006 to 2013—has shared a cryptic image on Instagram, sparking speculation among fans that he might return to the role for the highly anticipated sequel, Dexter: Resurrection.
The Instagram post features an image of a sign bearing the Paramount logo (Showtime is a Paramount-owned company), accompanied by the caption "It's gonna be fun" and a zipper-mouth face emoji—often used to suggest keeping a secret. It seems C.S. Lee recently visited the company's headquarters, possibly for a new deal.
If this is indeed a clue that C.S. Lee will reprise his role as Vince Masuka (we're pretty confident it is), it’s no surprise that Masuka will be making a comeback to the franchise. Dexter: Resurrection is expected to bring back nearly every main surviving character from the original series.
