Grey's Anatomy alum joined the prequel of Dexter as Miami Metro's Captain!
Earlier today, Showtime/Paramount+ revealed the latest casting addition to Dexter: Original Sin, a very well-known actor, Patrick Dempsey.
Dempsey, who is mostly known as Dr. Derek Shepherd or McDreamy from ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," has joined the cast as a series regular in the role of Aaron Spencer, the Captain of Miami Metro Homicide.
Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, Chris McCarthy, said in a statement:
"Patrick Dempsey is a beloved actor who is internationally known for the iconic characters he has played and his performances. We are thrilled to have him join our all-star cast of Dexter: Original Sin, the highly anticipated origin story of the franchise."

Aaron Spencer, the captain of Miami Metro Homicide has a decades-long relationship with Harry Morgan played by Christian Slater.
Spencer is in his 50s, and his priority is to assemble a top-notch team to investigate the abduction of a prominent judge's son.
Dexter will closely observe Spencer's approach to dispensing justice when faced with a deeply personal crisis.
