For the last couple of weeks, under every Dexter-related post you'll see on the social media, there are hundrends of comments by fans, asking for a second season for Dexter: New Blood. Let's see what Clyde said about that, back in early November, just hours before the premiere.

By the end of the interview, when Clyde Phillips was asked if this is really the end of Dexter, he said that he wouldn't rule out a season 2:

"Let me say this to answer that: Never say never. I could’ve said yes or no. I'm saying never say never. Anything can happen and I’m not going to commit to the fact that this is the absolute end of the franchise. I think that’s a pretty revealing answer."

As for the upcoming finale "Sins of the Father", Clyde said it is surprising, and inevitable.
