Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Julia Jones, Clyde Phillips, Scott Reynolds, and Marcos Siega talked Dexter: New Blood at the Television Critics Assosiation press tour virtual panel, and surprisingly, they revealed much more than expected. In this post, we collected all the spoilery stuff the said about the new season.

Read them all below. Spoiler warning!

1. Yes, Harrison returns and this isn't much of a spoiler in the last 24 hours. There are more details about his come back, though: In the first episode, Harrison is the one that finds his father... and wants to rejoin his life. He thought Dexter was dead all along.

2. Dexter Morgan lived a “nomadic” existence through all these years.

3. As you may already know since January, Julia Jones who plays the Iron Lake Police chief has a teenage daughter named Audrey (played by Johnny Sequoyah). At the TCA panel we learned that her daughter is actually adopted.

4. "I don't think of her as a ghost but more of a link or an echo or an inconvenient truth for Dexter, so that's all that attracted me to come back and haunt and punish and caretake and provoke and love Dexter". said Jennifer Carpenter.

5. Jamie Chung’s character Molly Parker (a true crime murder podcaster) plays a big part in the new season, and she will first appear in episode 3.

6. The new season takes place over a two-week span.

7. Clyde Phillips says that there are several people coming back and many of who haven’t been revealed yet.

8. Scott Reynolds said that they stepped away from what the format of the previous seasons "find, stalk and hunt and wrap them in plastic and kill them". In this season, things are much more personal. It’s about Harrison. It’s about family life. It’s about a father who is a murderer — a serial killer — and the effect that that has on everybody around him.”
