Michael C. Hall Teases The Release Date Of Dexter Season 9: "I Think It's Premiering On November 7"

Brace yourselves for an early November premiere date... according to Michael!

Speaking to Phil Williams on Times Radio yesterday, Michael C. Hall once again talked about the 'infuriating' 2013 series finale, his life in Concord, Massachusetts, and the possibility of a tenth season. He also revealed the date he thinks the new season will premiere on Showtime.

"The show ended in a way that was infuriating," admitted Michael. "It was a way that was pretty mystifying at best if not infuriating for people, but that at least set the stage for us to return and answer more definitively what the hell happened to this guy."

"I totally support what happened, the choice he makes at the end, but as far as the execution goes, we were all running on vapour at that point, so I get it."

How much time left until filming wraps? "We have about five weeks to go, I think the whole shoot would have taken five months. It's basically like we're filming it as a 10-hour movie. It will be ten episodes, premiering at least in the States on Showtime on November 7".

"We don't pick up the day after we left him at the end of the series proper, we pick him up as if as much time has passed for him as has passed for the rest of us. It's been wild - he's been relocated from Miami to a tiny town in upstate New York, so the clothes are heavier and the colours are more subdued. That helps to remind me that things have changed - or I could just look in the mirror to realise that time has passed!”

"It's not an experience I've had, nor one I imagine I will have again, to revisit something I spent so much time with after so much time away -- as much time away as I spent doing it."

When Phil Williams asked him if there will be more episodes for the revival, he replied: "I'm going to say... maybe."
