Dexter Reunion Is On Its Way! Desmond Harrington to Guest Star on Jennifer Carpenter's 'Limitless'

A huge Dexter reunion is coming through CBS' new drama 'Limitless'. Desmond Harrington aka Joey Quinn joins drama series starring Jennifer Carpenter for at least one episode, with the potential to recur.  According to EW, they’ll be treading in very familiar territory.

Jennifer found out about the casting news yesterday, but she didn't reveal the actual name of the actor joining the show:
Harrington, who's currently starring on The Astronaut Wives Club along with Yvonne Strahovski will play Casey Rooks, a Special Agent with FBI SWAT who has a background in martial arts, combat sports and meditation, all of which inform his quiet but formidable presence.

When he is assigned to give Brian basic training, he’s impressed by Brian’s ability to master skills that took Casey years to acquire. Driven by his jealousy, or perhaps another agenda, Casey will keep a close eye on Brian, hoping to uncover his secret. But Casey also has a secret of his own to protect: his covert love affair with Brian’s boss, Agent Rebecca Harris.

The news comes on the heels of another Dexter alum heading to CBS. Julie Benz has been tapped to play Daniel Dae Kim’s love interest over a multi-episode arc on Hawaii Five-0.

Michael C. Hall Sings Bob Dylan's "I'll Keep It With Mine" on Tits of Clay Belasco EP - Available on CD, Vinyl and iTunes

Few months back Michael C. Hall's role as Hedwig on 'Headwig and the Angry Inch' was a hit. One of his performances on the show of him singing Bob Dylan's 'I'll Keep With Mine', will be available on CD, Vinyl, and in digital form via iTunes. Out on 9/11. Click here and here for more.

Tits of Clay is an alter ego for the band that plays the Angry Inch on Broadway. A mostly punk rock cover group, Tits of Clay have been referred to as the punk rock Sha-na-na! Over the past year they’ve performed with Neil Patrick Harris, Fred Schneider, David Johansen, Michael C. Hall, Theo Kogan and Chantal Claret…. A Pledge Music campaign was run to raise money to make an EP called “Belasco” the name of the theater Hedwig plays in, as well as the man who built the theater (the legend is that David Belasco still haunts the theater, though as much as we’ve tried to taunt him we’ve yet to see anything!)

Showtime President David Nevins: "Someday There May Be a Dexter Spin-off"

It's been almost two years since Dexter ended and there a still talks regarding a continuation of the series. In every TCA panel it becomes known that Showtime and David Nevins are seriously willing to bring Dexter back with a spin-off.

A year ago, Showtime president David Nevins said that a spin-off is "always within the realm of possibility." A half year ago, Nevins said a new Dexter series would "have to involve Michael C. Hall." Few days back at the 2015 TCA summer press tour, Nevins says that while there’s no news on the Dexter continuation front, it’s something they certainly still talk about. "Dexter’s’ the one show that I would think about continuing. It’s a question of when the timing is right," says Nevins. "If there’s a willingness to do it, I would certainly listen. Certainly I’d look at Dexter."

According to Zap2it, Nevins later tells a small group of reports that Dexter "remains the most asked-about property" and that "someday" there may be a spin-off.

Jennifer Carpenter Welcomes First Baby!

Jennifer Carpenter is officially a mother! She gave birth to her first child back in May, but the former star confirmed the news to ET at the Limitless TCA panel few days ago.

Jennifer's rep confirmed she was engaged to Seth Avett, who's a member of the band The Avett Brothers, in February. She was actually already eight and a half months pregnant when she shot the Limitless pilot in April.

"I was also eight and a half months pregnant when we shot, so I feel like I was walking on set going, 'Are you sure I'm supposed to be here?'" she admitted to ET. "But there were such heavy hitters, from the production team to Bradley Cooper being a part of it, and the movie having been something I really enjoyed. ... The transition from going from something where I was dealing with someone who never had a reason to smile [her role as Deb] to now I'm on a set where I'm holding back laughter and hoping that I don't mess up a take and slow us down, it's a lot of fun."

Jeff Lindsay Talks About 'Dexter Is Dead' the TV Finale, and the Possibilities of Bringing Dexter Back

via news-press: Jeff Lindsay is in the midst of a book tour for his new thriller, “Dexter is Dead,” and all those phone interviews and book signings are taking a toll.

“I have cauliflower ear and carpal tunnel wrist,” Lindsay says with a chuckle.

Still, the Cape Coral novelist admits it’s a good problem to have. Huge crowds have been showing up at tour stops in Houston, Denver, St. Louis, Phoenix and elsewhere — sometimes several hundred Dexter fans at once.

“I always used to think I got pretty good crowds, but nothing like I’ve been getting this time,” Lindsay says. “I could almost start to sniffle about it. It’s very touching.

“A lot of people care about this psychotic monster.”

That psychotic monster, of course, is the character Dexter Morgan, a Miami Police blood-spatter analyst who doubles as a good-guy serial killer at night: He mostly kills other serial killers and assorted villains.

The bloodthirsty Dexter starred in eight bestselling Jeff Lindsay novels and a hit Showtime series that wrapped up in 2013. Now Lindsay appears to have ended his book series, too, with “Dexter Is Dead.” The novel came out July 7.

Is Dexter really dead? You’ll have to read the book to find out.

In the meantime, here’s what Lindsay said about the new novel, what he’s writing now, and all the hate mail he got when the TV series ended.

You’ve been meeting hundreds of Dexter fans on your book tour. What are they saying about the new book and the end of the series?
Well, a lot of people are looking for some wiggle room here. [Impersonates pleading reader’s voice] “How about if you just did something with the kids or with Deb or something?”

And I’m like, “Mmmm, no. Don’t think so. Thank you.”

So they want more Dexter books?
Yeah, they do. That makes me happy. It means I did something right.

A lot of fans weren’t happy with how the TV series ended. When we talked last year, you told me you hadn’t watched the series finale or even the last few seasons. Have you watched it yet?
No, I still haven’t seen it. I was traveling, and I missed an entire season when I was on the road. And I tried to catch up, but I can’t binge-watch. It’s not in me. Maybe it’s my ADD or something.
