Jaime Murray Talks About Dexter, Her New Film 'Fright Night 2' and More
Former Dexter special guest star Jaime Murray aka Lila West talks Dexter, Defiance, Fright Night 2 and more, for CraveOnline:
I'm sure you get this a lot but obviously, I'm a big fan of yours from "Dexter."
Jaime Murray: Aw, thank you.
You ever get sick of that? Are you just like, "Oh, 'Dexter' again?"
No. It was just such a great show to be on and you know, it was one of my first jobs when I got to America, Los Angeles, and it was a great welcome into the industry here. You know, I became great friends with Michael [C.Hall]. Julie Benz, I was her bridesmaid last year.
No kidding!
She's on "Defiance" with me now, another show we're shooting now so you know, it was a life-changing job in so many ways but also just great TV, too. Read more after the jump.

Dexter Vets Julie Benz and Jaime Murray Want Happy Ending For Dexter
Via Global News: Jaime Murray and Julie Benz – who were both in love with the titular serial killer on Dexter — shared their thoughts Saturday on how the series should come to an end on September 22.
Although their characters were killed, neither star believes Dexter Morgan should suffer the same fate when the show wraps up after eight seasons.
Murray, who played Dexter’s seductive Narcotics Anonymous sponsor Lila Tournay in Season 2, confessed she hasn’t been watching this year. “I will watch it all when it’s done,” Murray told Global News. “I’m not patient enough to wait week to week.”
So, how would she like Dexter to end? “Lila should come back and marry Dexter and they should go off together and have little psychopathic children,” said Murray.
Julie Benz, who played Dexter’s girlfriend and eventual wife Rita, also said she hasn’t been watching the final season. “I’m so far behind. I have to catch up,” said Benz, who was on the show for its first four seasons.
Benz said she hopes Dexter survives. “We can’t kill Dexter. We just can’t,” she said. “We should always have the potential to have a Dexter movie or something. “Maybe he moves away and starts in another town. I don’t know. We can’t kill him.” But Benz conceded anything could happen. “Nobody thought they could kill Rita either,” she said.

POLL: Who Is The Brain Surgeon?
The return of the Brain Surgeon during the ending of last Sunday's episode of Dexter flipped everything upside down once everybody (well, almost) thought that the Brain Surgeon was A.J. Yates and was already killed by Dex. So, the Brain Surgeon is alive, his latest victim is Zach Hamilton, and no one knows who's next. Who do you think is the Brain Surgeon? Someone we know? Someone we don't know? Vote below and share your theories and predictions in the comments section!
Yvonne Strahovski Talks Hannah For GQ Magazine
Dexter Season 8 special guest star Yvonne Strahovski talks Dexter for the British edition of GQ Magazine: For a woman who internet wags have christened "Stra-hot-ski", Yvonne Strahovski does a great job of blending in. Raised in Sydney to Polish parents, she lost two accents to find stateside TV success, first as a CIA spook in the spy series Chuck, then as a wily poisoner in Fox's serial- killer drama Dexter, now heading into its eighth and final series.
"My character comes back to stir things up a little more in Dexter's life, as if they weren't stirred up already," says the 30-year-old actress, who plays Hannah McKay, the love interest of Miami forensic expert - and murderer - Dexter. "She's a sneaky girl with some charm, I think, and she's got a crooked past that she hides pretty well." Are the fans as charmed as Dexter himself? "I haven't received any severed fingers yet," she says, laughing. "Nothing mental: maybe a bag of rat poison." In Dexter fandom, such things are compliments.
Perhaps their affection can be traced to a series seven episode featuring Strahovski, some clingfilm and very few clothes? "I went from about to be killed by Dexter into a love-making scene with him," she says. Erm, "love-making"? It wasn't exactly Downton Abbey... "Well, OK, it was a little rougher than that!"
Next up is the Melbourne-shot I, Frankenstein - starring Aaron Eckhart as Frankenstein's monster and Strahovski and Bill Nighy as modern-day scientists trying to harness his immortality - which will be released in 3-D in 2014. "I made Bill Nighy eat a massive meat pie!" You can take the girl out of Australia...

Michael C. Hall Dishes on Dexter's End, the Female Characters, His Souvenirs From the Set and More
HuffPost TV caught up with Michael C. Hall, who talked about his experience on the series, his plans for after the show, and which bloody mementos he's decided to keep as souvenirs.
HuffPost TV: What was the last day of filming like, and who will you miss the most out of the cast?
Michael C. Hall: Oh, gosh. The last day was -- I mean, there was such a series of lasts over the past couple of weeks. You know, different people had their last days at different times. But the very last day was I don’t know, a combination of pride and sadness, wistfulness, and relief, and vague depression. It’s been eight years of all of our lives; cast, crew, and beyond, and there’s a collective sense of a major end, a major transition, but also a new beginning for all of us. It’s hard to pick favorites among my castmates, but I suppose the person with whom I've had the most significant journey as a character is Jennifer Carpenter and the Deb character. They've been through so much and covered so much terrain and she’s been such an amazing scene partner thorough this entire process.
Are you afraid of being typecast after eight years of "Dexter?"
It goes with the territory. If you do a character for this long, people are inevitably going to associate you with that character. Dexter is, I suppose, a character who operates under a particularly dark umbrella. You know, I'm thankful to be associated with a character who has this much variation and dimension. I finished "Six Feet Under" and got a lot of questions about being typecast as a gay funeral director and now everybody associates me with a serial killer with a code, so I'll just have to deal with that. I think if people’s imaginations begin and end with "Dexter," I’ll leave that to them and try not to concern myself with it too much and just look for opportunities that allow me to mix it up and broaden the spectrum of what I've done. Read the rest of the interview, after the jump.

Poll: Is Dr. Vogel the Brain Surgeon? What's Her Grand Plan?
With all the coercion, is it Dr. Vogel who is really the brain surgeon or is she just pulling strings? Perhaps she is manipulating the "psychopaths" as part of her own psychotic test. It seems she at least knows who the brain surgeon is; after all, Zach was murdered with his brain in Vogel's hand in a suspiciously minuscule timespan. Which leads us to the question: what is her grand plan? Why go through all this trouble convincing Dexter to look after her old patients and hunt a coerced ghost?
The only other plausible explanation would be that Dexter and Vogel are being carefully stalked by the real brain surgeon. It definitely seems that the show is trying to coerce viewers into believing Vogel is the brain surgeon although I believe they're setting the story up for another twist.

Michael C. Hall Lists L.A. Home For $2.35 Million
via The Wall Street Journal: Michael C. Hall has put his compound in Los Angeles on the market for $2.35 million, according to his agent Josh Myler of the Agency in Beverly Hills.
The roughly 4,600-square-foot, Spanish Hacienda-style house was built in 1926 at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Hollywood Hills. It has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home has a courtyard garden off the living room as well as a library, media room, separate den off the kitchen, formal dining room and a wine room.
An additional patio and garden area connect the main house to a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest home. There’s also a three-car garage on the property. British actor Ronald Colman, who was a Hollywood movie star in the 1930s and 1940s, was among the first owners of the home, which is why the property is known as the Ronald Colman Estate.
Hall bought the home last year for $1.95 million, according to public records. He relandscaped much of the 0.3-acre property and renovated some of the interiors as well. Hall is now selling because he recently bought another house in Los Angeles, says Mr. Myler. “Upon first stepping into the residence, I felt transported to an old-world oasis,” says Mr. Hall. Mr. Myler shares the listing with Jeff Kohl, also of the Agency.

Aimee Garcia Talks About Working on Dexter, Her First Love Scene and More [Photos and Interview]
ADrinkWith.com sits down with Dexter co-star Aimee Garcia to talk about working on Dexter and with Michael C. Hall, the murder scenes, the love scenes, her celebrity crush and more. Read her latest interview below.
WHAT IS SOMETHING ABOUT BEING ON A SHOW LIKE “DEXTER” THAT PEOPLE WOULDN’T EXPECT?
It moves a lot quicker than you would think, sometimes you just have a couple hours to shoot a long scene. Also, how much of an impact the actors have. My character is a grad student and I noticed that we hadn’t seen her study in awhile so I asked the props master if we could have some text books, a pen and a notebook because even though it didn’t say it in the script, when Dexter calls I wanted her to be barefoot on the couch doing homework. It’s a real collaborative effort. I am going to miss the show, it’s over forever! We just wrapped.
AFTER SHOOTING A MURDER SCENE, WHAT IS THE VIBE LIKE ON SET?
It depends. Michael C. Hall is very focused, disciplined and professional. If he’s doing an intense scene he really keeps his mind in the zone. My character is a little lighter. I’m walking around in a bikini, laying out by the pool, carrying a baby around and making out with my boyfriend. Michael has a really great sense of humor, an incredible voice and he knows how to dance. He’s a true triple threat!
