Michael C. Hall Lands Lead Role In 'Cold In July'
Great news! Exclusive via deadline: Michael C. Hall has just landed the lead role in Cold In July. That’s the feature adaptation of the Joe Lansdale cult novel that will be directed by Jim Mickle, whose horror film We Are What We Are just played at the Cannes Film Festival.
He plays the protagonist Richard Dane, who shoots and kills an armed burglar in his living room. It’s a clear-cut case of self defense to everyone but the burglar’s father, who vows Old Testament-style eye-for-an-eye justice. Here, that means son for son. The cops, the feds, and the Dixie mafia all play a part in the ensuing mayhem.

Yvonne Strahovski Dishes on Hannah's Return In Dexter Season 8, Chuck Movie and More
Dexter guest star Yvonne Strahovski talked with Huffington Post about Hannah, her return in the final season, the possibilities of a Chuck movie and more. Read her interview below:
Hannah is such an interesting character. What were you first attracted to about her?
I mean it's always interesting to get into the mind of someone who does bad things, and you have to try and figure out or justify them to yourself as the actor playing the role. You have to figure out where the decisions came from and how one moves forward in life knowing that they've done these bad things. And part of it was also the show itself. Dexter is such a great show and so well written and performed. Being invited into that platform is something that I was definitely going to take up.
How do you view Hannah? Do you think she's just evil or do you view her more as a survivor? I think Dexter, the show in general, is very interested in the idea of evil. Where do you think Hannah falls?
I don't think she's evil, I think she's a survivor. I think she does evil things because she's trying to survive. And I think in her mind she's justified everything, though she's uncomfortable with some of the things she's done herself. But she knows she has to live with it and she's just trying to have a life, really. At the same time that's sort of made her into quite a manipulative girl. So I guess some people would say that's pure evil, but I think there's more to it. [laughs] Read the whole interview, after the jump.

Strahovski says."Is she going to pop back into Dexter's life, and if so, how's she going to do that exactly? What will be her intentions at the time? So that's really the exciting part of that." WATCH: A Breakdown of the Dexter Season 8 Official Trailer by Emily Sofia
"What you do in the dark, will be brought to the light." Welcome to the soul-slicing madness that is going to be the eighth and final season of Dexter! Check out my in-depth review of the new official season eight trailer that was launched hours ago by watching the video below or following the link here. My analysis begins at the 3:20 mark, so skip there if you're anxious to get through my introductory banter! This trailer leaves us with entirely too many questions: is Debra beyond redemption? Is Dexter? What's this "official statement" of Deb's all about? Why is this Lundy-and-Trinity-esque Dr. Evelyn Vogel picking Dexter's brain about the Bay Harbor Butcher? Who will come under the guns and knives of our broken Morgans, and will they find their way back to one another!? Time will tell or tear us apart! If you enjoy my review, please subscribe to my channel or follow me on Twitter, Tumblr, or Facebook for more Dextery goodness! Share all of your thoughts below and thank you for watching!

Ray Stevenson Talks Dexter, Isaak and More: "I Was Very Happy Not to End Up on Dexter's Table"
Dexter alum Ray Stevenson gave a new interview exclusively on collider.com. He talked about Dexter, how he got involved will the show, Thor, his new film 'Divergent' and more:
Collider: How did you come to be a part of Dexter?
Ray: Scott Buck, who’s the showrunner, had worked with Bruno Heller on the series Rome, that I did, and the call came out of the blue. I knew that it was a very privileged thing to get offered this nine episode lead baddie, as such. When he started telling me about it, and said he was this Ukrainian mob boss whose business associate friend gets killed and that he’s worst than any other hit man, I was like, “Yeah, okay.” But then, when he told me the reveal, I went, “Oh, god, Scott, I’m in!”
When you’ve got gangsters who are homosexual, it always has to be something deviant to them. This guy was a stone cold killer, but there always has to be some perverse deviance about a gay gangster guy. This guy didn’t have that. His heart was ripped out. His heart had been broken and that’s why he went after Dexter. So I said, “Okay, Scott, now you’ve got my attention. Yes, I want to do it!”
I was delighted at the chance. It was courageous of them to go for it, and I was very happy not to end up on Dexter’s table. At one point, I said, “What if I got Dexter on his table and put the knife across his lips, and then go, ‘You’re too pretty to kill’?” And then, you could just see me leave on my G4 and not know where he’s going. But, it was a beautiful ending. Working with Michael [C. Hall] was just brilliant. He’s the real deal. Everybody is. It’s an amazing crew and cast. Read more after the jump.
