ReplyDeleteSo excited for the next one to see how Dex deals with this new internal battle of good and evil (Harry nd Brian) and Im rly upset brother sam died nd was sorta looking forward for Dex trying the forgiving thing . . But old habits die hard i guess. amazing season so far
ReplyDeleteLoved it!! Especially if Rita's killer is finally going to be brought out! I never thought it was Trinity. Always suspected the son. Loving the ending of last nights episode. Glad to see another ghost of his past manifesting! I enjoyed Brother Sam though! He was a great character.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the next one!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat episode, Great season; Brian's return wasn't all that shocking ,but it was exciting in light of Dex's display of his inner conflict of light & dark this season. It'll be awesome to see someone other than Harry speaking to him within his conscious. Harry's code kept him in that grey area throughout the series; Brian was in that shipping container along with him, it makes sense that he represents the dark side of his conscious. It coincides with Dex's "spiritual" journey while making sense of the Doomsday killings. He'll need to experience traveling both paths like Brother Sam in order to do so. This season's bringing it full circle.
ReplyDeletereally really great episode, and this season is defnitely up with season 1. magnificent work all round. i just saw the trailer for nebraska and i literally had my mouth open the whole time. the writing and dialogue have been incredible this season as good as anything ever seen on Dexter. to be fair i had wanted a darker side of him as juxtaposition of harry, eventually, but somehow imagined it to be someone like trinity, however Biney makes more sense. although the scene in season 2 when he lets go of him into the water from the boat at the end of waiting to exhale is still one of my favorite ever Dexter scenes.
ReplyDeleteBiney! :D
ReplyDeletedexter's darkness is growing! and at the end he will kill himself or locked up in α psychiatric clinic??????
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's not very plausible that Jonah suddenly follows in his fathers footsteps!! He seemed to love his mother and his sister and he always guarded them from Arthur! Any other thoughts on this?
ReplyDeleteHowever, last episode was marvelous!
5:17: I totally agree with you. Jonah was a really sweet kid. It doesn't make any sense at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it's a misdirection and it turns out it somehow it wasn't Jonah. It strains all logic to think this is how he'd wind up.
remember we don`t know how this all affected Jonah and his family, he was living under the dictate of a dominant father who mentally tortured him for many years without any respite or help. it`s also confusing for him to know that kyle is indeed Dexter so maybe that played a part as well? mm im not sure it will turn out as it seems but that`s what i love about the writing this season, it reminds me a bit of ron moore`s work on the bsg reboot, there are lines to be crossed and anything is possible!
