Dexter: Original Sin Episode 4 'Fender Bender' Official Synopsis Hints at Dexter's New Target

Showtime's official summary for the upcoming episode of the Dexter prequel.

Dexter: Original Sin returns with another gripping episode in just a few hours—marking the final installment of 2024. Unlike last week, when fans were treated to two new episodes instead of one, the show will now revert to a weekly release schedule, much like the original series. The season is slated to conclude on Valentine’s Day, with a brief one-week hiatus planned for mid-January.

This upcoming episode, titled "Fender Bender," brings a touch of nostalgia, recalling an iconic moment from Season 4 of the original Dexter series back in 2009. In that storyline, a sleep-deprived Dexter, struggling with the demands of caring for a newborn Harrison, used the term to downplay the severity of a car accident to his wife, Rita—an incident that turned out to be one of Dexter’s many fabrications.

However, this episode takes place 18 years before that event in the original timeline and appears to have no direct connection to the 2009 storyline.

Showtime has released the official synopsis for Episode 4, and it’s more revealing than the summaries of the previous three episodes. You can read it below—but beware of spoilers!

Dexter targets a retired mob hitman (who may still be killing), as Harry works the gruesome murder case of a ten-year-old boy; Deb sneaks into a nightclub with Sofia and meets an exciting new friend.

Episode 104, "Fender Bender," will be available on Paramount+ with Showtime plan at 12:01 AM EST.
