Dexter becomes the latest Showtime series Netflix has licensed in the states.
American Dexter fans! After a three-and-a-half-year absence, Dexter Morgan is set to make his comeback to the streaming giant, Netflix, in June. According to What's on Netflix, all eight seasons consisting of 96 episodes will be available on US Netflix starting Wednesday, June 19, 2024. However, Dexter: New Blood won't be available on US Netflix, as it remains exclusive to Paramount+.
Interestingly, the original series (seasons 1-8) will still be part of Paramount+'s library.
The news of the show's return to Netflix in the US follows the streaming service's acquisition of Dexter's rights in numerous countries worldwide in March 2024.
This move from Paramount will definitely reignite interest in the series, attracting a new generation of fans, especially with the highly anticipated spin-off announcements on the horizon.
