A Dexter: New Blood Finale Redo Is In the Works, With Scott Buck and Game of Thrones' David Benioff & D.B. Weiss As Showrunners

If you disliked the finale of Dexter: New Blood, your wish will come true... sort of.

*UPDATE: THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE IS AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE!*

Big news! Looks like America's favorite serial killer will be back from the dead soon. According to a reliable source, Showtime is planning to announce a continuation for the franchise, with Michael C. Hall (surprisingly) reprising his role as Dexter Morgan. Jennifer Carpenter, Jack Alcott, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, and Johnny Sequoyah will be back as well.

Game of Thrones' David Benioff & Dan Weiss will be the main showrunners of the upcoming second season of Dexter: New Blood along with Scott Buck, who was the showrunner of Dexter's seasons six, seven, and eight. More details right below!

Warning, spoilers about episode 10 of Dexter: New Blood Season 1!

After the negative "Sins of the Father" feedback, Showtime's main priority for the new season of Dexter: New Blood is to undo the events that took place during the last 20 minutes of the finale: Logan's death, and every that followed after that. But, how are they going to do such thing? Everything was a dream!

In 2021, the successful Game of Thrones duo turned their attention to the Netflix series titled The Chair, starring Sandra Oh. With the rumors that the show won't be renewed for a second season, David and Dan who consider themselves huge Dexter fans, will be heading to Showtime for the upcoming season of Dexter: New Blood.

Happy April Fools Day! 😁
