Dexter: New Blood is coming soon, and it's time to look back at the early seasons.
Dexter Season 2 aka the 'Bay Harbor Butcher' season premiered on September 30, 2007. Dex attempts to sabotage Miami Metro Police department's investigation into his grisly serial killings. Rita notices unusual behavior from Dexter and she urges him to join a treatment program for addicts. He meets Lila, she becomes his sponsor, and then carries on an affair with her. Meanwhile, Debra who's still traumatized, dates FBI agent Frank Lundy who came to Miami in order to help find the Bay Harbor Butcher. Sergeant James Doakes finds out Dexter is a serial killer.
