In a new interview with Collider, Clancy Brown, known for countless television and movie roles, talks about his decision to say yes to the new season of Dexter. As you may already know, Brown has been cast to portray Kurt Caldwell, the primary villain of Dexter Season 9.

What made him want to join Dexter? What's his opinion about Dexter in general? Read the interview, below!

Clancy Brown suggests that the pandemic quarantine and isolation is the main reason he joined Dexter: "I got sick of sitting at home with nothing to do", he says.

When questioned if he was a fan of the show he responded: "I hadn’t actually watched. Once they started knocking on my door, I started watching it and I really liked it. I think it’s an interesting show, especially considering the time and place that it was on. I liked what they tried to do with every season. They had this overarching theme that they were exploring and I liked that idea. I don’t think this is any different. They’re doing that same thing. I don’t know why everybody was so upset with the ending. I thought it was okay."
