How about something we can pronouce...John Smith, Gregory Campbell, Joseph Jones...anything...why does it have to be something difficult?
ReplyDeleteHow about you respect a man's right to change his name to whatever he wants. Not like you'll actually be giving him a cal!
ReplyDelete"How about something we can pronouce...John Smith, Gregory Campbell, Joseph Jones...anything...why does it have to be something difficult? "
ReplyDeleteHow insensitive and to a degree intolerant.
how about Fried Chicken or Water Melon or Kool Aid or Colored Greens
ReplyDeleteOK.. I think it's safe to say that most of them Anonymous characters are Trolls here... So stop feeding the bastards!
ReplyDeleteoh come on buggle everyone needs to eat someone should stop feeding ms fatty jc she is a hog
ReplyDeleteApparently yasiin took his name from the Quran. The first part (yasiin) means 'rich'. IDK about bey, I think its cool. What I find interesting is, he's Muslim (Im assuming since he used the Quran) playing the role of a Christian believer. That is pretty darn great.
ReplyDelete"Why does it have to be so difficult?" and "Fried Chicken or Water Melon or Kool Aid or Colored Greens?"
ReplyDeleteThese comments epitomize the ignorance proliferated by those with ethnocentric and racist mentalities.
Its sad that you guys think that your ignorant comments are cool or funny.
@neatmonster: Thanks for the clarification regarding the meaning of "Yasiin."
"Bey" means in turkish Mister so maybe that´s where he got it from...
ReplyDelete"Rich Mister" or "Mister Rich" ;-)
I just think it's funny how you Americans think everything revolves around you. Learn about other cultures, there are other countries out there you know.
ReplyDelete"YAH-SEEN BAY" isn't that difficult to pronounce. don't hate on him for YOUR illiteracy.
ReplyDeleteMos Def had a song called "Casa Bey" on his 2009 album 'Ecstatic'.. He's not the type to glorify anything associated with being 'Rich'.. unless it's your soul. He's THE single-most underated/underappreciated MC in Hip-Hop. I don't know the meaning of his name, but I think it's dope that he's that much more in-tune with his religion. I was locked up in county jail with two Muslims from Africa and they were the two most disciplined individuals I've ever met.. They were very devout to their prayers. People need to stop being so ignorant, and start being more accepting of people's difference's.. Brother Ali is another great Muslim rapper not too many people know about or can appreciate. P.S. I'm white.
ReplyDeleteBey is a Moorish Tribal name, as is El.
ReplyDeletehe's wack and im a purple people eater
