POLL: Would You Prefer 'Dexter' to Have a Winter Hiatus in the Middle of its Seasons?

Seven months left until the next season of Dexter. The fans of the show are used to big hiatus all these years. But, do you think it would be better for the fans and the show if Dexter has a winter hiatus of 2 or maybe 3 months like for example AMC's 'The Walking Dead'? Vote below!

  1. HELL NO... its a bummer we gotta wait so long... but a hiatus mid season would be even worse... watching 6 eps then having to wait a few months to see the last 6 would be torture... theres only 2 seasons left why couldnt they just do them back to back... 24 weeks of dexter sounds good to me haha

    1. i would like to add that it would only serve to cut the flow of action... in the last 2 seasons... which are sure to be the biggest... you dont wanna stop , start, stop , start... you want the smooth flow of synchronicity... so ill stick with what i said about 24 weeks of dexter... let the show go out with a huge bang... and it could even allow dexter to go after someone who takes more than a season to kill(or maybe he get played like a pawn and doesnt get him at all *just an idea might be interesting*)...

  6. I just hope they don't rush the seasons. There are 2 more left and they should be the best one's !!!

  7. No, I hate when shows do that. AMC will more than likely do that with the final season of Breaking Bad, unfortunately.

  8. No way. That's just torture for the fans. Any network that does that is run by absolute cunts.

  9. I think it would be a good idea. It would give the writers ample time to create a fantastic season, imo. And keep suspense going.

    1. How would it give the writers more time? They'd have more time for the production, not for the writing.

  10. Wow, who would choose YES? That would be a horrible idea. @ANON 5:27 -- You know nothing. That would not give them "ample time", it would just be horrible for the fans, and without fans, there is no show.

  11. 9 months is too long to wait for a cliffhanger, like the one at the end of Season 6, to be resolved; so I voted yes because it would mean a more bearable 3/4 month wait between seasons.

    1. But then halfway through season 7 you would have to wait 2-3 months to see the last 6 episodes. Why on Earth would you want that?

  12. ALL THE NOES!! Hiatuses (hiatusi?) are for television networks who don't care about their viewers. They don't understand the meaning of fandom.

  13. Hiatus for a season of only 12 episodes? Ridiculous idea.

  14. Absurd idea in the very first place

With a story line like Dexter this current format is just OK

Now that the story has reached a critical phase with Deb SEEING
Dex in action ; this is the only reason people are finding this
LONG waiting period to be unbearable

Nobody asked for this hiatus idea earlier ; in the first SIX months

Maybe they should have had a thirteenth episode in season SIX itself where Deb and Dex would have had a long chat about WTF is
going on and who he really is ...

In an earlier season Deb once said to Dex

" You are acting more weird than usual , Who the hell are you "

So this season Seven MAY begin with this line

Deb saying " WTF is this Who the hell are you "

    1. Much too contrived. Deb is in a state of shock if they begin the season where S6 ended, which they'll hopefully do.

Nobody asked for this Hiatus idea in the first SIX seasons
